The URMI 2023 Conference will examine the specific challenges faced by youth in the criminal legal system or at risk of involvement in it. Topics will include:
• the school-to-prison pipeline
• the prosecution of youth as adults
• historical and personal trauma

As well as options for response such as:
• community prevention
• restorative practices
• alternatives to incarceration
• mentorship
With a keynote address by Malaika Eban, Interim Executive Director of the Legal Rights Center.
