February 10, 2025
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In-person: RACSB at River Club (10825 Tidewater Trail, Fredericksburg, VA 22408)
The Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences training is for parents, caregivers, educators, coaches, mentors - anyone who interacts with kids or was once a child themselves.
When children experiences traumatic events, it can have lasting effects on their mental health and wellbeing. These events, called Adverse Childhood Experiences, can have profound effects on community health. Studies show that 26% of adults have experienced at least one ACE, while 1 in 8 adults have experienced 4 of more adverse childhood experiences. This trauma increases the likelihood of developing chronic diseases.
We'll talk about brain science, the ACE study, and how we can support greater individual and community resilience.
A minimum of 10 people are needed to host the training.
