Join us for a FREE gathering bringing together historians, educators, community leaders and enthusiasts to explore the stories of courage, resilience and the freedom that shaped our nation.Event Highlights Include:
Keynote Speakers - Hear from renowned historians and speakers who will share insights and stories about the Underground Railroad and its impact on American history.
Student Projects - Featuring exceptional student projects focused on Black history. These projects highlight the contributions and experiences of African Americans during the era of the Underground Railroad.
Panel Discussions - Engage in thought-provoking discussions with experts and community leaders about the significance of the Underground Railroad and its relevance today.
Interactive Exhibits - Explore interactive exhibits that bring to life the stories of those who risked everything for freedom.
Networking Opportunities - Connect with fellow attendees, share ideas, and collaborate on initiatives to preserve and promote the history of the Underground Railroad.
This year's theme will be "Interpretation" and will focus on how history has been impacted by interpretations since the beginning of humankind. We hope that this theme sparks conversations confronting the uncomfortable truths of America's past to help students understand how racial injustice shaped the nation and still affects society today. We invite you to Explore the connections between historic freedom seekers and today's immigrants, highlighting the timely relevance of these stories.
