About this event
Undercase: 9:30 - 10 PM
Undercase is a two-piece band born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Singer and pianist Houston Holmes joined forces with drummer Chase Jaminet as the two lifelong musicians set out to create moments that you want to stay in forever. Having grown up on The Killers, Muse, and Ben Folds – but with no guitar in the lineup – the duo built a foundation of powerful piano riffs and drumbeats and combined it with a love for electronic music to define their sound. The band’s second EP, Duality, was released in August of 2021. Lyrics powered by empathy and instrumentals powered by caffeine collide to bring you into a world where dreams don’t end when the sun comes up.
Ashleigh Rey: 8:45 - 9:15 PM
Ashleigh Rey is a 23 year-old singer-songwriter from Dallas, Texas. She spends her days working as a copywriter and her nights pursuing her dream of making music. She began her pursuit of music in high-school and started her college career at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, studying musical theatre and vocal performance. However, Ashleigh missed her southern roots and wanted to nourish her love for writing. In 2018, she transferred to Southern Methodist University and would eventually graduate in May of 2020 with a degree in journalism and minors in creative writing and performance art. Her love for music, performance and writing became very prevalent during the summer of 2020 and Ashleigh began pursuing a career as a musician and songwriter. She recently released her first single, “Synthetic Serotonin,” on all streaming platforms and has plans to continue to write and release new music in the future.
Nicole Maridan: 8 - 8:30 PM
Nicole Maridan is a singer-songwriter and musical theatre performer from Houston, Texas. She is self-taught on guitar and ukulele and has been writing original music since she was 12. Since then, she has performed her songs all over Houston and Dallas, Texas. Nicole recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Southern Methodist University but wishes to pursue her songwriting and musical theater. She was described as a "force of nature" with a "luminous...soulful voice" by Houston Culture Map after performing as Maria in West Side Story with A.D. Players in Houston, Texas. Nicole is ready to take on the professional, musical world to pursue her dreams. She plans to make the move to NYC in the immediate future.
