Uncrease is Gilcrease Museum’s FREE community arts series spanning March through May 2026. Featuring 29 artists across 6 dates, the program includes live music, workshops, performances, demonstrations, and lectures, with headlining performances by The Tulsa Opera and Tulsa Symphony Orchestra. This series brings diverse artists and community members together to create, learn, and explore the new Gilcrease Museum building. Registration Required.Artist Programming Lineup for April 11:
• Anjelica Lindsey & The New Honey Shade - Music and Visuals: Live ambient soundscape music performance by composers Anjelica Lindsey & The New Honey Shade (Mark Kuykendall), blending electric violin, synthesizers, and live recording to transform Gilcrease's space into a resonant celebration of art and community.
• Tulsa Opera - Performance: Concert celebrating American West and Indigenous music traditions, performed by the Filstrup Resident Artists in collaboration with Oklahoma Cherokee mezzo-soprano Barbara McAlister.
• Kathy Clarke - Music and Visuals: "Guests to Uncreased" will be invited to spend time amidst the views of the Osage Hills as they prepare and gift time to be and reflect as they walk a portable labyrinth created to fit the assigned space. Guests will be acquainted with labyrinths, guided onto the labyrinth and leave with a piece of the experience in a chose rock they’ll inscribe before starting their labyrinth journey and hold whole walking.
• Walt Kosty - Lectures, Films & Readings: "in the osage • of place time and memory" - an interactive presentation interspersing historical maps and photographs with visual and audio recordings collected over the past five years, sharing perspective of the natural features that are a part of Gilcrease, Gardens, the land, and through time.
• Taylore Lennea (Bell) - Music and Visuals: One-hour solo performance at Gilcrease Museum, blending classical masterpieces, modern pop tunes, and original pieces
as a classically trained and versatile violinist.
