Temperance Uncovered is a curated night celebrating talented original artists in the intimate cellar atmosphere of Temperance.
Created for artists who want their songs to be truly heard, the evening brings together original music, attentive audiences and a warm welcoming atmosphere in one of Leamington Spa’s most inspiring live spaces.

Andrew Higgins
Andrew, alongside Rich Costello, is the co-host for Temperance Uncovered.
For the first event Andrew is setting the scene and challenging himself to perform songs solo from his extensive and diverse catalogue (which has featured regularly on BBC Introducing and local radio)..
Whether he’s composing and recording in the studio or performing stripped-back acoustic sets with his trusty friend “Dr. Boss,” Andrew follows the musical flow: Mr Crow, written in memory of a lifelong friend, is a reflection on mortality. Justify, is an electronic collage that features conversation with his 98 year old mother. Summer (a crowd favourite) is a fictitious letter to a fickle seasonal girlfriend.
Having recently played Temperance as part of the South Town Blues Festival, Andrew is looking forward to working with Rich to develop a regular platform to showcase original music and songwriters in the region.
Amelia Oliver
Amelia is an emerging singer-songwriter blending honest lyricism with emotional melodies. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, her music explores connection, identity, and the complexities of growing up. Armed with an acoustic guitar and a distinctive voice, she delivers honest, heartfelt performances that invite the audience to listen. Whether on an intimate stage or in a larger venue, Amelia’s songs balance vulnerability with strength, leaving listeners reflecting long after the final note.
Milda Batutiene
Milda is from Lithuania, where she studied classical music as a child. Having moved to the UK nearly 20 years ago, she put music aside for a while, until finding new friends in the Warwickshire open mic scene led her back to singing. The newly found passion for music inspired her to pick up piano again and also start writing her own songs. Milda finds inspiration from various styles - folk, blues, rock & jazz, which is reflected in her music. With crystal clear highs and soulful lows Milda's vocal performance is captivating whether accompanied by soft finger style picking guitar or crunchy piano harmony.
Charlie Ward
Temperance Uncovered is delighted to welcome Charlie Ward to close out the evening.
Fresh from performances at Godiva Festival, HMV Empire Coventry, Sofar Sounds, The Jam House and BBC Introducing, Charlie is establishing himself as one of the region's standout singer-songwriters.
His debut EP Learning to Stay (released January 2026) features "Changes" — praised by Sam Ryder and Paloma Faith on Channel 4's Your Song. Charlie will be performing a stripped-down acoustic set accompanied by Rich Costello, co-host of Temperance Uncovered, on guitar — a fantastic opportunity to experience these songs in an intimate live setting.
