Creating intimate relationships with intentionality
Do you miss PolyTalk?? Well @Merryglittertits is recreating the discussion group you miss so much, and adding some pizazz and diversity beyond “polyamory” to other forms of non-monogamy, and intentional relationships such as D/s dynamics.
Our first topic is an intro to nonmonogamy and will include a basic breakdown of types of non-monogamy, how to assess your wants and needs in your relationship, and a breakdown of the types of exclusivity you can choose to have or not have in your connections.
I wanted to bring back Polytalk but with some elements that could create more depth and diversity. Workshop topics will vary, and with that I imagine who attends will vary as well. The intent is that in addition to gaining more knowledge, there will be the opportunity to build community around common interest; and the ability to go beyond 101 level discussions. I also intend to work actively to make this a comfortable space for BIPOC people to attend and participate in a variety of ways.
UnConventional Connections meet-ups will consist of a workshop (presented by me, @Merryglittertits or guest speakers), a question and answer period, a discussion group (like you know and love), and time to socialize at the end. (mandatory attendance to workshop if you want to attend the social time!)
What you can expect at an UnConCon Monthly Meet

Every month we will present on a different topic, that can help you figure out your personal and relational wants and needs and how to actually make them happen!
You will have the opportunity to ask questions on the topic and there will be the ability to keep your question anonymous.
The discussion group time will be free flowing so any personal questions you have or want to discuss can be done during this time! (This will resemble the old PolyTalks if you’re missing that!)
The social time will be free flowing so you can spend time with friends or make new ones. THIS IS NOT A HOOKUP SPACE. There will be very clearly defined consent guidelines with a zero tolerance policy.
During social time I will set up a space where you can sign up for 10 minute, 1:1 sessions with me, @merryglittertits, to ask me your personal questions and see if you would like to book a longer session with me outside of this space. Outside of this space I offer relational mentorship, hypnotherapy, and card readings.
Come alone, or bring your friends or partner(s). No matter who you are, you will learn more about yourself and the people you’re in connection with.
$15 recommended donation for attendance, but we will not question if you need to give any less. We appreciate your generosity and know that you appreciate the time and energy that goes into making events like this happen. So let’s keep them happening!
