We live in a world that keeps us braced. The jaw tightens, the hips grip, the shoulders creep toward the ears — and after a while, we stop noticing. The body simply becomes the place where the weight of uncertain times takes up permanent residence.
This 3 class series offers a systematic, deeply satisfying path back to ease. Drawing on somatic awareness, myofascial release, simple yoga, and nervous system science, we'll work through the body's most common stress-holding sites using tools that are accessible, effective, and immediately repeatable at home.
Together we will explore:
- Therapeutic shaking and tremoring — one of the body's oldest and most underutilized self-regulation tools, used to discharge held bracing and reset the nervous system at its roots
- Soft foam rolling for the hip flexors and glutes — the body's emotional core, chronically contracted in anxiety and stress, and profoundly responsive to patient, intentional release
- Soft foam rolling for the neck and shoulders - to release the clenching caused by stress breathing, worry, and fear
- Breathing practices for self-regulation — targeted breathwork that speaks directly to the autonomic nervous system, shifting us out of fight-or-flight and into a felt sense of safety
- Simple grounding yoga — simple, slow yoga-based movement, helping you arrive back in your body as a place you actually want to be
- Guided meditation - step by step guided progressive relaxation meditation and savasana to end each class
