Join us for the 2026 Uncle Lewis Yarlupurka O'Brien Oration featuring distinguished Aboriginal educationalist Professor Lester-Irabinna Rigney AM, PhD, presenting Demythologising Pedagogy & Truth-Telling: Schooling Aboriginal Children after Australian Frontier Conflict.

Professor Rigney's lecture will explore truth-telling in Australian education, the legacy of the Frontier Wars, and how schools can embrace culturally responsive approaches that recognise the strengths and resilience of First Nations learners.
