About this Event

Enjoy a night of thought-provoking film and conversation about America's longstanding relationship with charity at Clark College's Gaiser Hall.

Join local donors, volunteers and engaged residents for southwest Washington's premiere of UnCharitable, a documentary confronting traditional societal perceptions and financial models that have stifled the ability of nonprofits to achieve their missions.

Afterward, a diverse panel of local nonprofits and philanthropic funders will dive deeper into these topics, tying the themes to our community and exploring ways to take action locally. An audience Q&A will invite attendees to add their voices and perspectives to the conversation.

Everyone will leave inspired and ready to reimagine their giving.

Note: Space is limited, so please register in advance. You do not need to print your tickets or download the Eventbrite app. All you need to enter is the registered name and email for this will call event.

----

About the Film

Conceived by Dan Pallotta, a social entrepreneur, philanthropist and activist, UnCharitable builds on his highly acclaimed book and viral TED Talk that sparked a long-overdue conversation about the future of charities and charitable giving. Going deeper into these original ideas, the film documents the history and evolution of charity, uncovering why the current model is failing and presenting a vision for what charity could be if we shift our thinking.

About the Panel
