Ladies and gents, this is the one you've been waiting for... Uncaged is back with our monthly shenanigans, and all the fun and excitement that comes from a mix of alcohol and words. We've had people travel from Hull, Chesterfield, Nottingham Leicester, Stamford, Newark, Market Rasen, Sleaford, Grantham, Boston, and beyond to take part. So come and see what all the excitement is about.
Ron Booth comperes the evening with verve and gusto, signing people up for a slot from 7pm ready to kick off at 8pm. If you read poetry, short stories (5 to 8 minutes) have a stand up comedy set, come and book yourself a slot.
Special Guest: Eleni -- I’ve been writing stories since my younger days, But never thought to bring my words onto a stage. It was just a quiet release for the emotions inside. The thoughts, imagination, and feelings I’d hide. Then a friend read my work while we did a play, And at her next show, she surprised me that day: She asked me to step up and read to the crowd. And just like that, my thoughts went aloud. To see if my ideas would sink or engage. I finally dared to take my words off the page, embrace the vulnerability of a live audience, and walk into my first open mic on a whim.
