Unboxed: Learn a New Game

Curious about board games but not sure where to start? Join us for Unboxed, a relaxed, guided session where we'll learn to play a featured board game together as a group. No experience needed! We'll go through the rules, play a round, and have fun figuring it out along the way.

Space is limited, so registration is required. Games featured in this program are also available to play at our monthly board game night on the first Thursday of each month. Some games are also available for check out from our Library of Things.

The featured game for May is Splendor! Splendor is a fast-paced, 2-4 player engine-building board game where players act as Renaissance merchants collecting gem tokens to buy development cards. It takes roughly 30 minutes to play and is acclaimed for its simple rules and deep strategy.

Our library programs are free and in high demand. If you register and can no longer attend, please cancel your reservation at least 24 hours in advance so we can accommodate others. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to register for future events. Thank you for your cooperation!
