You're invited to the Unblock Party, an event in support of opening the gates that have divided our Mid-City neighborhood for over 20 years.
- Live music from local musicians
- Art displays and interactive activities with local artists
- Fun games for all ages
- Delicious food from various vendors
- Dancing and entertainment
- We're gathering at the Country Club Park gates to highlight how unpermitted fences blocking the street and sidewalk have divided our neighborhood since 1999.
- These gates cause daily problems for children, people with disabilities, and the elderly just trying to get to their bus stop. They delay emergency vehicles and block street sweepers.
- They divide our streets and create an un-neighborly atmosphere, blocking public roads and obstructing our community. We think the city should open them up!
It's going to be a ton of fun! Bring your friends, family, and neighbors. Everyone is welcome to join.
