UNAC Hamilton Youth Forum 2025: Succeeding Generations Shaping the Future

The United Nations Association in Canada (UNAC) Hamilton Branch invites you to join a gathering of emerging leaders, professionals, and community stakeholders to mark the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations.

The Youth Forum will focus on the contributions of young people toward advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It will provide a space to exchange knowledge, discuss pressing global issues, and build connections across academic, non-profit, and professional sectors.

Program Overview

1. Welcome and Snacks (e.g. sandwiches, pizza, beverages)
2. Kick-Off: inspirational speech by Leo Nupolu Johnson, Chief Empowerment Officer of Empowerment Squared and a United Nations Fellow. A community leader recognized with awards like the YMCA Peace Medal and Hamilton’s World Citizenship Award, Leo brings powerful insights from his work advancing education, immigration, and international development across Canada and Africa.
3. Youth Presentations highlighting research, projects, and initiatives
4. Panel Discussion with Audience Q&A
5. Networking session to foster meaningful connections and learn from experienced leaders in the industry
