Sobre El Libro
Against Fear and Oblivion is not just a memorial, but a courageous testimony of truth in the face of silence.
In this deeply moving work, the author recounts her journey as a journalist during Venezuela’s most turbulent years, from 1998 to 2015—a time marked by political upheaval, growing censorship, and the constant tension between truth and fear. With striking honesty and emotional depth, she opens the door to the personal cost of reporting under pressure: the uncertainty, the losses, and the quiet battles fought behind every published word.
Yet this is also a story of resilience. Through writing and remembrance, the author transforms pain into purpose, revealing how storytelling can become both an act of resistance and a path toward healing. Her voice stands as a testament to those who refused to be silenced when silence seemed safer.
Against Fear and Oblivion ultimately rises as a powerful declaration of faith, courage, and unwavering commitment to truth. It honors a generation of journalists who defend reality with integrity—and it calls on future generations to ensure that neither fear nor oblivion will ever be allowed to write the history of a nation.
