One of the most famous art organisations, Kalakar Arts UK is bringing back Umrao Jaan, popular Bollywood movie live back to stage with impeccable singing, acting and dance. Kalakar is famous for staging musicals all over UK based on the life and music of the Courtesans of India. Chandra Chakraborty, who took on the role of the Queen Of The Underworld in Opera North's sensationally celebrated production Orpheus, will be performing as Umrao, while extraordinary talented Kathak Dancers Roshni Sarkar and Atryee Bhattacharyya, famous Odissi Dancer Gairika Mathur, actor Shantanu Goswami and Paramita Dasgupta will rock the stage along with Violin Maestro Kamalbir Singh, Tabla Nawaz Aniriddha Mukherjee and famous Amith Dey on background music.
