This one-day Abdominal Ultrasound course is designed to provide veterinary professionals with a solid foundation in abdominal ultrasonography through a combination of lectures and extensive hands-on training. It is ideal for those looking to build confidence and practical skills in small animal abdominal ultrasound.
Key features of the course include:
- Expert Teaching: All sessions are delivered by a specialist veterinary radiologist, ensuring high-quality, clinically relevant instruction.
- Outstanding Practical Support: During the scanning sessions, there will be a maximum ratio of one member of radiology staff for four delegates, providing close supervision and individual guidance.
- Hands-On Focus: With three dedicated practical scanning sessions throughout the day, delegates will benefit from plenty of hands-on experience.
- Small Group Learning: Delegate numbers are limited to maintain an engaging, supportive environment with ample opportunity for discussion and questions.
The course covers key areas of abdominal ultrasonography, including the liver, spleen, kidneys, bladder, and gastrointestinal tract. You will also gain a deeper understanding of how to optimise image quality, recognise and interpret common ultrasound artefacts, and begin to explore the principles of image interpretation and reporting.
