Okay crew, I am optimistic that by Feb there will be enough snow to plan ahead a bit for this! I have been up XC skiing 3x and it’s getting deeper up there, this past weekend I saw a ton of folks snow shoeing so I think we should try to organize this 🙌🏻 I have a few folks I’d like to coordinate with to get a proper route planned and what not. If you don’t have snow shoes, check out FB marketplace as I usually see some on there for sale this time of year. Also, in Denver you could rent snowshoes from REI so maybe look into that option too. Hopefully a few weeks out will allow folks to get plans and gear ready while Mother Nature does her part ❄️
When: February 7 2026
Where: mt spokane state park- lower lot (snowmobile lot) (the lot at the top junction of the initial drive in that has the bathrooms by it; it’s a big lot at that intersections before you either right to the XC ski lot, go left up to the to summit or go straight down to the resort/ski/snowboard park)
Time: 10 AM - hoping this time will be more appealing for folks as this is a fun group event vs a run
Length: 5 miles RT (to the CCC Cabin and back)
Come trudge in the snow with us! If all goes well, this will be a fun day. I’ll bring my go pro and we can have a silly snowy time. Pups are also welcome!
