Ultimate ELO is fronted a Jeff Lynne lookalike / soundalike tribute and is a live band with no backing tracks. As well as capturing the energy of ELO in their 1970’s prime, the sound and vocals the band produce are uncannily like those heard on those classic records.
The ELO songbook is an amazing hit parade in itself. In the UK, the band had a number one single with Xanadu, 14 other top ten singles: 10538 Overture, Roll Over Beethoven, Evil Woman, Livin’ Thing, Rockaria, Telephone Line, Mr. Blue Sky, Wild West Hero, Sweet Talkin’ Woman, Shine A Little Love, The Diary Of Horace Wimp, Don’t Bring Me Down, Confusion, Last Train To London, Hold On Tight, and a further 12 top 40 singles: Showdown, Ma-Ma-Belle, Strange Magic, Turn To Stone, I’m Alive, All Over The World, Don’t Walk Away, Twilight, Ticket To The Moon, Here Is The News, Rock ‘n’ Roll Is King, Calling America. The albums were even more impressive with 4 reaching the number one spot: Discovery, Time and 2019’s From Out Of Nowhere! and a further 7 reaching the top 10: A New World Record, Out Of The Blue.
Ultimate ELO will be playing many of these hits from the amazing Jeff Lynne songbook on the night.
The Pretend Beatles include musicians who have performed professionally all over the world and play the Beatles’ music live without backing tracks using authentic instruments to capture the Beatles sound. The band wear Beatle style costumes and value attention to detail in capturing all the musical and vocal parts of the original Beatles records, but also capturing the live spirit of The Beatles who were such a fun band to watch during their live era. Their repertoire is very wide and includes loads of Beatles classic tracks, so you are sure to be singing along to all the big songs. They also cater for the die hard fan with their encyclopaedic knowledge of the band and so can deliver some surprises in the set too. Come along and escape to the time of Beatlemania.
