The UllrGrass Band Contest 2025 will be held on Thursday January 23, 2025 from 7:00-10:00pm at Cervantes Other Side in Denver. Contestant Submissions are due by Dec31, 2024 and Finalists will be announced on Jan 6, 2025.
This event is FREE and open to the public, so come on down to Cervantes and enjoy an evening of LIVE MUSIC from some of Colorado's hottest up-and-coming bands.
The winner of the UllrGrass Band Contest will be offered a set at the UllrGrass Music Festival Jan 31- February 2, 2025 and a Main Stage set at UllrGrass 2025. We are holding Fireside Sets for Runners Up and participating bands as well.
To enter, simply paste an audio or video link and your website in this FB event for consideration. Finalists (9 bands) will be selected to perform a 3-song set at Cervantes Other Side on Thursday January 23, 2025 in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the contest.
Finalists should arrive by 6:15 pm for orientation. Performance order will be posted at that time.
This contest is open to string bands and non-string bands alike. The judging will be based on the "instrumental performance", "vocal performance - including use of harmony", and "overall performance". Favorable consideration will also be given to bands performing original songs (bands should introduce their original songs as such).
Congratulations to the 2024 Band Contest winners, Magoo, who will perform on Friday night at UllrGrass in Golden on Jan31, 2025.
