About this Event

About "Malevych"
What is hidden behind the "Black Square," which was painted by the obsessive artist Kazymyr Malevych? For his rivals - "fraud", for the Soviet regime - secret code, for one woman - love letter. However for Ukrainians - prophecy.
A whirlwind of passion, defiance, and genius unfolds in the life of Kazymyr Malevych, the world-renowned Ukrainian artist who dares to challenge the Soviet regime for the right to create “free” art.
“Malevych” is not a conventional historical biopic, but a bold, symbolic portrait of Ukraine, seen through the prism of a man whose art refused to bow to power.
