Hi everybody!Ukrainian community in Brighton wants to invite you to our Kupala event that will take place in Preston Park near the Clock Tower on Sunday, the 7th of July, 1pm - 5pm
Kupala is an ancient and mysterious Ukrainian holiday that was usually celebrated on Midsummer day. We want to share our traditions with you and let you learn more about the beauty and magic of Ukrainian culture.
It's the third time this holiday is celebrated in Brighton and it seems like it's becoming a new city tradition! We started in 2022, carried on in 2023 and you all seemed to fall in love with Kupala holiday as much as we did. So, with a great excitement we invite you to celebrate it with us again this year.
There's going to be a small theatre performance, folk craft workshops, singing, dancing, lots of fun, and there may even be a Ukrainian fortune teller (the absolute star of last years' event), and wait for it - Ukrainian food.
People of all ages are welcome, so take your family with you. We think your kids will like the event too.
The event is free, but there will be an opportunity to take part in workshops for donation and help us buy an ambulance for Ukrainians and/or donate to support our community in Brighton. And you'll have a chance to buy lots of nice traditional and modern Ukrainian things.

Купала – давнє та таємниче українське свято. Ми хочемо поділитися нашими традиціями та дозволити британцям більше дізнатися про красу та магію української культури.
Ми вже втретє святкуємо це свято в Брайтоні – і, здається, це стає новою місцевою традицією. Наша команда започаткувала її в 2022, ми продовжили в 2023 і, здахться ви полюбили Купала так само, як і ми. Тому з радістю запрошуємо вас знову святкувати з нами знову цього року.
Буде невелика театральна вистава, майстер-класи з народних ремесел, співи, танці, багато веселощів і, можливо, буде навіть українська ворожка (абсолютна зірка минулорічного заходу), а ще навіть трохи української їжі!
Ми радо ватіємо людей будь-якого віку, тож беріть із собою вашу родину. Впевнені, що захід сподобається й дітям.
Захід безкоштовний, але у вас буде можливість зробити пожертву за участь в воркшопі та смачну їжу, щоб допомогти нам купити швидку для українців, і зробити пожертву на підтримку нашої громади в Брайтоні. І ви матимете можливість придбати багато гарних традиційних та сучасних українських речей.
