UKFin + Birmingham Launch

UKFin+ is an EPSRC funded £2.5M programme of funding whose aim is to bridge the gap that currently exists between the research in universities and the need of the financial services industry, its consumers and the regulator. Based on an inclusive, diverse and responsible research culture it will harmonize technological know-how across regions.

Central to UKFin+ is its ‘commissioning framework’, which provides the funding mechanisms for five types of collaborative projects between academia and partners. Join us at our launch to learn more about the funding mechanisms and for the opportunity to directly input into the scope of the Pilot Project funding call.

The network will launch on Tuesday 4th July at The Exchange, Birmingham City Centre.

This event includes:

• An overview of the project
• Key Note speaker
• A FinTech Panel discussion
• The opportunity to directly input into the scope of the Pilot Project funding call
• Lunch will be provided giving participants an opportunity to network

Up to 20 travel and subsistence bursaries of up to £200 are available for early career researchers on a first come, first served basis. Early career status is normally up to 8 years from PhD, longer to account for career breaks. Proof of early career status is not required.
