UK Biobank Winter Scientific Conference - participant tickets

You are invited to attend the UK Biobank Winter Scientific Conference, an in person event in London on Thursday 8th December 2022. We hope you can join us for this stimulating one day event, where you can hear about novel scientific results and fascinating future health research developments from world leading speakers. You are welcome to bring along a family member, spouse/partner or friend. If you cannot join us in person the whole event will be available online to watch from home.

While the event is focused on the scientific research the resource is enabling, we hope that there will be plenty that is of interest to non scientists. For example, it includes sessions on how UK Biobank is helping dementia research and our plans to collect more information on health outcomes to improve our understanding of the determinants of disease.

We are incredibly grateful to you and your fellow participants for your ongoing commitment to UK Biobank, in doing so, you have helped create the world's most comprehensive biomedical database. We hope you are proud, as we are, of the unique scientific discoveries being generated by researchers worldwide who are using the UK Biobank resource.

The event seeks to bring together the scientific community and UK Biobank participants to discuss the value of the UK Biobank resource for health research. Some presentations may be scientific in their language, but aims to be accessible to all, and we welcome your questions and talking points for the panel. The event provides an opportunity to see how the data you have contributed is generating impactful findings to improve human health and the chance to meet researchers directly.

We look forward to meeting you, and there will be plenty of opportunities to have informal discussions with and ask questions of the researchers using UK Biobank throughout the day. Your perspectives on the value and future direction of UK Biobank would be most welcome during your presentations themselves or during the breaks at lunchtime and in the drinks reception after the event.
