Imani Family & Friends,The work we do together matters.
On Sunday, December 28th, the third day of Kwanzaa, we will celebrate Ujima (Collective Work & Responsibility) by honoring the very ministry that lives out this principle every day: our own Social Justice Ministry.
Please join us immediately after worship in the Fireside Room for a special celebration centered on our shared journey, as chronicled in the new book Faith, Not Fear by our own Associate Minister, Rev. Rob Newells-Newton.
This is not just a book launch; it's a celebration of our community, by our community. The book itself is dedicated to the collective work of Imani's Social Justice Ministry—work that continues today.
What to Expect:
✦ A special welcome from the Social Justice Ministry
✦ Joyful fellowship and light refreshments
✦ Readings from Faith, Not Fear by Rev. Rob
✦ A "Journey of the Book" conversation between Rev. Rob and Dr. Ronne Wingate-Sims, reflecting on their shared roots and ministry at Imani.
✦ Book signing
Come share in the fellowship. Let's celebrate the fruit of our collective work!
