Ugly Sweaters & Holy Night: An Advent Festival for All Ages
About this Event
After worship, the whole community gathers for Christmas trivia and gingerbread nativity building in mixed-age groups. A 7-year-old and a 70-year-old at the same table, frosting everywhere, and nobody thinks that's weird. Kids will make an art project during Kids Church, and ugly Christmas sweaters are the dress code for everyone. This is the most fun you'll have in a church building all year.
First time? Welcome. The Collective is a progressive, affirming church in Atlanta where the doors are open and the table is long. We gather the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 5 PM for worship, kids church, and a free community meal. Kids start with the whole community for music in "big church," then head to their own space for Collective Kids when the sermon begins: storytelling, wondering, play, and connection designed for their age. After worship, everyone comes back together.
If you've been looking for a faith community where your whole family is seen and celebrated exactly as you are, come find out if we're it. Bring the sweater.
