UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center 2nd Annual All Center Retreat

The all-day in-person Retreat will bring together the broader cancer research community from across UCLA, including faculty researchers, physicians, physician-scientists, graduate students, post-docs, other trainees, research staff, and allied health professionals.

Where: UCLA Meyer and Renee Luskin Conference Center, 425 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095

When: May 5, 2022. 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. This event is free of charge.

The Retreat is an opportunity for the wide array of individuals working to accelerate discoveries that prevent and cure cancer to share progress and accomplishments, to discuss challenges and future directions, and to develop and strengthen collaborations.

Activities will include a keynote speaker, sessions comprised of talks on a variety of topics, poster exhibits, opportunities to learn about the resources available within the Cancer Center, networking, and more!

All attendees are subject to Los Angeles County Health Department and UCLA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Requirements for entrance to the Retreat include providing proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event at check-in. Additionally, all attendees must complete their UCLA Daily Symptom Monitoring Survey and adhere to masking guidelines (currently universal masking required for all indoor events regardless of vaccination status). The Cancer Center would like to invite graduate students and postdoctoral research and clinical fellows to submit an abstract for consideration for a poster display at the Retreat. This is a great opportunity for trainees to share their cancer-focused research projects and network with colleagues. Prizes in each category will be awarded.

The deadline for poster abstract submission is Monday, March 7, 2022. As there are a limited number of slots for posters, those whose poster are selected for display at the Retreat will be notified by April 4 of acceptance.
