UCL Art Museum private view: From Concept to Icon exhibition
About this Event
The UCL Art Museum and Survey of London invite you to a private view of their collaborative exhibition, From Concept to Icon: A a celebration of UCL's Wilkins Building, to celebrate the launch of the Survey's latest monograph, University College London: The Bloomsbury Campus (UCL Press).
Tracing over 200 years of architectural history, the exhibition reveals how one of London’s most recognisable university buildings reflects changing ideas about education, design, and institutional identity.
Drawing on new research by the Survey of London, the exhibition brings together architectural drawings, artworks, and archival material from UCL Art Collection and Special Collections to explore the evolution of the building from its 1820s origins to the present day.
From Concept to Icon: A a celebration of UCL's Wilkins Building is on display in the UCL Art Museum's Prints & Drawings Room every Wednesday 1-5pm from 24 June 2026 to 28 July 2027.
