UCI Open Medical School

Open Medical School (OMS) is a FREE event aimed at supporting college students in their journey to medical school. The event is specifically targeted at current or former 2-year, 4-year, and graduate school students including those gearing up to apply to medical school in the near future.

Led by UCI School of Medicine students, faculty, and staff, OMS will feature workshops and panel discussions aimed at providing up-to-date and relevant information on the medical school admissions process as well as life in medical school and residency. The event will feature experiential and hands-on learning including ultrasound, medical simulation, and suturing training as well as mock interviews and personal statement writing workshops.

There is no dress code for this event. Registered participants for the Mock Interviews are encouraged to dress in a professional manner.
