About this Event
A music series curated by Annie Garlid featuring everything from ambient and electronic, new classical, and beyond. This month will feature performances from Murmur and Matthew Walker.
Murmur is an experimental music duo that brings together the diverse talents of Zach Lapidus on vintage Buchla Synthesizer and Fraser Campbell on clarinet. Based in Brooklyn, NY, this innovative collaboration explores the boundaries between electronic textures and acoustic improvisation.
Matthew Walker is a musician, writer, and arts administrator. Under his solo moniker, Matty Kay Walker, he makes music centered around the pedal steel guitar -- stretching out from country in the directions of ambient, minimalism, and jazz. His debut EP, Easy and Sad, was released in 2023. With Jacob Becker, he is one half of Ex-Official, an imprint and production house for music occupying a liminal space between hard boundaries. He is the executive director of Primary Information, a nonprofit publisher of artists' books and writings. With Marie Buck, he is the author of Spoilers (Golias Books, 2024), a collection of essay-poems about movies.
