A one-day UC-wide summit focused on strategies to deliver engaging, high-quality remote and online education - now and in the future.
About this Event

Remotely delivered education – whether synchronous/”live,” asynchronous/online or hybrid - is evolving with each advance in communications technology. As a complement to classroom and laboratory-based instruction, its presence has been growing in selective universities, including the University of California.

As we consider the future of remotely delivered education, we are mindful of the importance of intentional planning for high quality pedagogy and intensive student engagement, paying close attentionto questions of pedagogical effectiveness, student learning, and socio-economic gaps in college attendance and completion.

We have much to learn from colleagues whose research focuses on learning theory, persistence, and motivation, positioning the University to provide the highest quality online and remote offerings.
