Join vibrant Afro-jazz band Ubunye to celebrate the release of their new album ‘Tell me The Truth Or Don’t Tell Me Anything’.
Featuring powerful vocalists from South Africa’s Kwa Zulu Natal region combined with a dynamic rhythm section Ubunye’s music is a glowing blend of contemporary jazz, Afro-pop and traditional Isigqui Zulu music.
Ubunye (loosely translated as ‘Oneness’ or ‘Unity’) is the conception of keyboard player and lead songwriter David Evans in collaboration with singers Xolani Mbatha and Nokuthula Zondi. The new exciting Ubunye line up includes renowned jazz drummer Steve Hanley, mercurial guitarist Nik Svarc, the legendary Kenny Higgins on bass and an uplifting horn section.
