About this Event
Ubuntu Village is a Black-led, multiracial group of parents, young people, and community members who are working to make New Orleans safer, healthier, and more equitable. Join us on November 1 to celebrate our collective accomplishments and the many, many people who make up our village!
The theme of this year’s celebration is WE KEEP US SAFE because we know that true safety comes not from oppression and control, but by taking care of each other and making sure everyone in our village has what they need to thrive.
All ticket proceeds will support our work to mediate conflicts in our neighborhoods and prevent retaliatory shootings; keep people out of J*il and supported in the community; and provide a space for families with children in the juvenile legal system to heal, advocate for themselves, and organize.
Tickets include dinner, an open bar, live music, and great company. Join us and invite a friend into the fold!
