UBalt’s 13th Annual 'Rise to the Challenge' Business Competition

Each semester, the University of Baltimore’s Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI) works with students, volunteers and others to host a venture pitch competition, culminating in a final live event at the end of each semester.

Scheduled for May 1, 2025, this annual event features the following 7 finalists, each aiming to win their share of the nearly $$30,000 in seed money and professional services to launch or grow their businesses.

Here are the key dates for Rise to the Challenge Pitch Competition 2024

• January 31: Submissions Open

• February 28: Submission Deadline (by midnight)

• March 7: Finalists Announced
• May 2: Live Finale, 5:30-8 p.m

Location: Wright Theatre, UBalt’s campus, as well as livestream via the Internet

In-person attendance will be limited, so please register to reserve a seat as soon as possible. Also, we will send a livestream link approximately one week prior to the event.

ventures nurtured by the UBalt community, is sponsored by UBalt’s Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
