russia’s war against Ukraine is a war on its future generation. To combat russia's devastation, Spirit of America has developed and funded the UActive program in partnership with the Ukrainian organization savED. Join us on Tuesday, April 1, 5:00 pm at Ukraine House to meet and learn more about four brave and inspiring Ukrainian teenagers — Yaroslava Osypova, Kateryna Polovko, Olesia Rusanova, and Nazar Manzyk — who are turning loss into leadership and rebuilding their war-torn communities with UActive.
Through UActive, students receive mentorship and micro-grants to develop and fund their own community projects. As a result, critical community spaces such as youth hubs, co-working spaces, theaters, sports fields, and cultural venues are being restored, providing the villages and cities hit hardest by the unprovoked russian invasion with support, hope, and endurance.
Their work demonstrates how the younger generation can be a driver of a free, democratic, and vibrant Ukraine — preparing the next generation of leaders.
Don’t miss this opportunity to meet them and learn how you can support their efforts. Light refreshments will be served.
We look forward to seeing you there.
