The University of Akron Summer Symphonic Band is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and legendary American composers with musicians from the School of Performing Arts and the greater Akron community.
Looking to join the band?
Rehearsals will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays this year, beginning Monday, June 8th, and continuing Monday, June 22nd from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in Guzzetta Recital Hall. We will perform a Concert on Monday, June 22nd at 7:30 p.m. (after dress rehearsal from 6 - 7 pm) in Guzzetta Recital Hall. Membership is open to any high school or collegiate students, directors, and/or community members. If you want to register for the class, email Dr. Karriker - [email protected] - for more information. Please sign up ASAP to allow time for music selection/preparation before the first rehearsal.
