Join our TYPONEXUS Art Army Thursday, 7/20 as we descend upon National Nordic Museum to dive into stories of joy, imagination and belonging within a whimsical, vibrant, enthralling world of Moominvalley, and the life of its creator, Tove Jansson, with “Moomins’ Sea Adventures” special exhibit and “Tove and the Sea” movie. As usual, we check out what's fresh, discover impactful works, critique, discuss, and mingle in outstanding company.
FEATURED EXHIBIT:
“Moomins’ Sea Adventures” brings Moominvalley to life with illustrations and life-sized characters from the stories. In the center of the exhibit is an interactive island complete with a lighthouse and rowboats that invites visitors to imagine adventures of their own.
BIOPIC FILM:
“Tove and the Sea” – Discover the profound, poignant story of Tove Jansson – acclaimed, fascinating, prolific Scandinavian author, artist, illustrator, comic strip novelist, political satirist, and creative anti-war activist.
