Typewronger's No Homework Book Club

Every 2nd Sunday of the month, we'll get together as a small group in the shop to talk about books we have read or are currently reading based on the monthly prompt. Feel free to bring the book you want to talk about for a bit of show and tell, but this is by no means required. Come join us for some great conversation - this format is great to discuss a variety of titles instead of just one, and to get a fantastic recommendations as a result! Whether you're a sci-fi enthusiast or someone dipping their toes into the genre, come in for a chat about a sci-fi book you read recently or are currently reading! Or, if you have a sci-fi all time favourite, come tell us about it! Are you more of a hard or soft sci-fi kind of reader? Or maybe you're like Alex and can't resist a dystopia, or a cli-fi premise? Whether you prefer epic-scale wars in distant solar systems or Earth-grounded stories of time-travel and alternate universes, come have a chat with fellow book lovers and come away with a bunch of new amazing recommendations (and maybe some new bookish friends)!

During the evening, everyone will get a set amount of time to tell us about the title they picked and why they picked it. You don't have to talk for the entire allocated time, but the limit is there to ensure that everyone gets a chance to introduce their pick. You don't have to necessarily even have a specific title in mind to come, you just need the willingness to listen and discuss the topic. Free hot tea included (and encouraged).
