For Tyler Ramsey, it’s being able to honestly connect with the listener.
Albeit a genuinely humble soul, don’t let Tyler Ramsey fool you. When it comes to the modern-day singer-songwriter, he remains a bastion of musical talent and lyrical aptitude — a melodic voice-of-reason and safe haven amid a 21st century world seemingly gone mad. The former lead guitarist of Band of Horses, Ramsey has also released four acclaimed solo albums, including “For The Morning” in 2019.
Ramsey’s latest album “New Lost Ages” (out Feb. 9) was captured at the legendary Avast! Recording Co. in Seattle, Washington, by storied producer Phil Ek (Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty, The Shins, Built to Spill). The 10-song LP is an ongoing sonic quest — meticulously wandering across the musical landscape, this undulating tone of indie, rock and folk stylings.

As a songwriter, artist, and captivating vocalist, Lister is a man of many talents. His earnest songwriting and melodies are breathtaking and powerful, and he is known for his ability to write and perform across a wide spectrum of genres, from pop to folk to crooner jazz. Lister has toured with Alison Krauss/Union Station, Brett Dennen, Colbie Caillat, and Ben Folds and is an original member of Nashville-based a cappella group Street Corner Symphony, who placed second on NBC’s “The Sing-Off.”
In November 2021, Lister released his full-length big band holiday album “Happy Holidays Everyone,” which has already garnered over 4 million streams. The title track landed a spot on T-Mobile’s 2020 holiday campaign, and several tracks can be heard on Spotify’s Christmas Jazz playlist. In the past year, Lister has had several big music moments on “Grey’s Anatomy” Season 19, including his uplifting ballad “One Step,” which closed out the mid-season finale.
