Tyehimba Jess will read his work at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 in University of Detroit Mercy's Chemistry Building (Room 114). Jess is a Detroit Native who won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for poetry with his book Olio. In 2004, his book Leadbelly was a winner of the National Poetry Series.
