About this Event
Following the tradition of artists like Al Jarreau, Natalie Cole, George Benson, Oleta Adams...Ty Stephens covers multiple styles and genres of music from his deep Philly roots in R&B, to the fusion jazz of the 70s, back to the standards inspired by Sarah Vaughan and Nat Cole, to the funk folks like Chaka Khan and Stevie Wonder!
From touring as Headliner, to opening act for major stars such as Stevie Wonder, Tony Bennett, Al Jarreau, Steely Dan, Grace Jones, Celine Dion, Alicia Keys, Eric Clapton, George Benson, Sting, Prince, Janet Jackson and so many more, in Monte Carlo, to touring eastern Russia and South Korea through the US State Department, to command performances for King Hasan II of Morocco, First Lady Sally Mugabe of Zimbabwe, US Ambassador to Haiti and many more, award winning vocalist/songwriter Ty Stephens and his band (the) SoulJaazz, have made their mark for decades on the international scene! Years before winning Jazzmobile Solo Jazz Vocalist 2006, Ty Stephens toured the world with luminary Harry Belafonte, as featured male vocalist for 3 years and later, with SoulJaazz, had the great honor of performing the official pronouncement of Prince Albert Of Monaco's engagement to his now Princess, Charlene, their first official dance, and are featured in the current promotional video advertising Monaco to world travelers.
