Hats Off For Veterans is proud to partner with Lockhart State Park and Texas Parks & Wildlife to host the Veteran Suicide Awareness Ruck 5K Hike on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Lockhart State Park.
This event is designed to bring veterans, military families, first responders, and community supporters together to raise awareness about veteran suicide and the importance of mental health resources, peer support, and community connection.
Participants are invited to complete a 5K hike through the scenic trails of Lockhart State Park. Rucks are welcome but not required. Individuals of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to participate. Registration is free, and all are welcome.
Together, we can honor those we have lost, support those who are struggling, and remind our veterans that they are never alone.

FREE VENDOR OPPORTUNITY!!!
We kindly invite veteran-serving organizations, nonprofits, businesses, and community partners to participate as vendors at the Veteran Suicide Awareness Ruck 5K Hike on September 19, 2026.
Vendors will receive a complimentary 10' x 10' space to share information, resources, and services with event attendees. Vendors are responsible for providing their own canopy, table, chairs, and any other display materials. Setup begins at 7:30 AM and the hike begins at 9:00 AM.
