TWU Day-of-Service

As a TWU community, let's pour back into the people around us! Join us on one day as we volunteer and serve others from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, November 23rd. There are opportunities to serve on the TWU Langley Campus as well as with organizations around Langley.

Teams

Create Christmas Cards with Kids & Mentors (9am)
Partner with Big Brother/Big Sister to help make Christmas cards with kids and support the mentorship that this program offers. Location: TWU Langley Campus, RGK 106

Raise Funds for Vulnerable Kids & Families (9am)
Partner with Salvation Army Kettle Campaign to help raise funds for toys and food for vulnerable families. Location: Downtown Langley

Give Out Hot Chocolate to Students (9am)
Encourage students in the midst of assignments and exams by handing out hot chocolate on the Langley Campus. Location: TWU Langley Campus

Dig and Plant for Environmental Restoration (9am)
Volunteer outside at A Rocha as they plant trees, remove invasive species and help in the restoration of their watershed. Location: A Rocha, South Surrey

Serve Breakfast for People Experiencing Homelessness (7am)
Partner with Surrey Urban Mission to help serve and cleanup breakfast at their shelter for people experiencing homelessness. Location: Whalley, Surrey

Schedule*

• 9:00 am - Meet in the Global Lounge of the Kuhn Centre for instructions, snacks, and coffee/tea
• 9:20 am - Head off to your volunteer location
• 1:00 pm - Conclude for the day
