This fascinating documentary by filmmaker and producer Mark Jones showcases a blend of science and traditional wisdom revealing the enduring narratives of art climate change and human resilience spanning at least 50000 years.
Set in the rock art galleries of the Kimberley this film beautifully captures the long-term partnerships between traditional owners and scientists who have worked together to document understand and preserve rock art in one of the greatest cultural landscapes on Earth.
The 45 minute screening is followed by a Q&A.
Rock Art Australia is a not-for-profit organisation committed to researching preserving and promoting Australia’s rock art by bringing together Aboriginal traditional knowledge and western science.
