TWO OF ME by Eleanor Coppola: A conversation with Sofia and Roman Coppola

Join in New York City on Tuesday, November 11th at 6PM as we welcome Academy Award winning director, producer, and screenwriter and producer and director Roman Coppola to discuss their mother's posthumous memoir, . In Two of Me, Eleanor Coppola receives a terrifying cancer diagnosis and confronts her role as wife and mother, as well as the creative challenges of an artist late in life.

This is a discussion event only. There will be no signing/photo line.

There will be no posed photos. Photos are allowed from your seat during the discussion.

There will be no signing line. Sofia and Roman will not sign any books, memorabilia or personal items.

Any gifts for the Sofia or Roman will be collected at check-in.

Please arrive by 6PM in order to secure your seat in the event space. Late arrivals may only have access to standing room.

No memorabilia will be signed at this event.

No large bags will be permitted into the event.

Ticket holders will be admitted into the event beginning at 5:30PM the day of the event. Please have a copy of your ticket available (either printed out or on your phone) for check in.

Due to health and safety and space limitations, those without a ticket will not be permitted into the event space.

Please note that Eventbrite is the only authorized dealer for this event. Each person must have a ticket to enter.

ABOUT Sofia Coppola:

Sofia Coppola has made eight films including “The Virgin Suicides” (1999), “Lost in Translation” (2003) for which she won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay, “Marie Antoinette” (2006), “Somewhere” (2010), “The Bling Ring” (2013), “The Beguiled” (2017) whereby she made history as only the second woman to win the Best Director prize at the Cannes Film Festival, “On The Rocks” (2020), and “Priscilla” (2023) which won Cailee Spaeny the best actress prize at the Venice Film Festival. Her documentary “Marc by Sofia” played at the 2025 Venice Film Festival. She is also the executive producer of “Fairyland” directed by Andrew Durham, based on the book by Alysia Abbot.

In addition to her film career, Sofia directed a production of Verdi’s classic, “La Traviata” at the Rome Opera House, with fashion designer Valentino Garavani and production designer Nathan Crowley.

Roman Coppola is a filmmaker whose work spans across all forms of the medium: From his feature films CQ (2002), and A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III (2012) to his Golden Globe-winning TV show Mozart in the Jungle, his live concert film work including the groundbreaking MTV $2 Bill: The Strokes, his music video catalog which has earned him 2 MTV VMAs, a Grammy nomination, and residence in the MoMA Permanent collection, as well as his Clio award-winning commercial work.

Additionally, his frequent collaborations with Sofia Coppola and Wes Anderson have earned him Academy Award and BAFTA nominations on such projects including The Virgin Suicides, Lost in Translation, Marie Antoinette, Somewhere, Priscilla, Moonrise Kingdom, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Asteroid City, and many more.

Most recently, he has made brand films for Zegna, Chanel, Pandora and Montblanc, served as second-unit director on Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis, served as executive producer on Fairyland and “Marc by Sofia” and wrote on his latest collaboration with Wes Anderson, The Phoenician Scheme.

Outside of filmmaking, Coppola is the co-editor and publisher of a new culture magazine, Enthousiasmos, as well as a co-founder of Decentralized Pictures, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting up-and-coming filmmakers.
