We have been given an awesome opportunity for a Fall Mission Trip to Norfolk, Virginia! We are excited to once again partner with Pillar Church in Norfolk, who will be hosting a Parents’ Night Out for military families in their community. In partnership with Mt. Hermon Baptist, our team will serve the children while the Pillar Church congregation focuses on engaging with the parents and overseeing logistics such as check-in/check-out, gift bags, and communication.
Schedule
Friday, October 3
4:00 PM: Arrive at hotel for check-in
5:00 PM: On-site at Pillar Church
6:00 PM – 8:30PM: “Parents Night Out”
Saturday, October 4
8:00 AM: Debrief with the team over breakfast at the hotel - Depart for home following breakfast
Cost
Transportation: Each person is responsible for their own travel (approx. 4 hours one way). We will send out a list of
attendees to help coordinate carpooling.
Food: Please bring funds for food on the way to and from Norfolk.
Friday Dinner: A light meal will be provided by Pillar Church (last year was Chick-Fil-A).
Hotel: We are working with the Missions Team to cover hotel costs.
