A partnership between the McNay Art Museum and UTSA Adult Community Art Program
This two-day workshop will introduce participants to ceramic handbuilding techniques used to create small pottery forms as well as the primitive firing methods for finishing of the ceramic work. The first day will take place at the McNay Art Museum and will include a tour of O’ Powa O’ Meng: The Art and Legacy of Jody Folwell. Participants will then create a small pinch and coil-formed pottery piece. The second day will take place at UTSA-SW Campus where the work created will be fired using primitive firing methods and participants will leave with their finished pottery piece.
