Twisted Trompo is a family-owned taco shop that first started as a hole in the wall taco shop inside the Chevron at Bachman Lake. The first Twisted Trompo opened its doors in the heart of Downtown Dallas at 1211 Commerce Street. The restaurant kept its original recipes while introducing new and unique food and beverages to the menu. Twisted Trompo serves up flaming good (we like to say mother flaming) tacos and tequila on tap along with other Mexican favorites out of our state of the art kitchen and bar. As always, the tacos, traditional pork trompo, beef and chicken, are made-from-scratch starting with our original and authentic Mexican marinades which set for 24 hours. The meats are then slow roasted and hand carved at the time of order. We invite everyone to experience the great taste of our Mother Flaming Tacos that we’ve been serving for years if you haven't already!
We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, hard-working, friendly, motivated individuals that hold the same passion and care for food, customers and service as we hold.
We are opening new locations and hiring for all positions in all locations.
Cahiers, Food Runner/Servers, Dishwashers: $9.50/hr + tips
Cooks: $10/hr + tips
Looking for people with a flexible open schedule and who arrive with a willingness to work.

Food & Beverage Prep Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
- Twisted Trompo prep (Trompo Prep Certified)
- Marinade
- Cutting/slicing
- Sauce prep
- Vegetable/Produce prep
- Bar Mixes and Garnishes
- Equipment cleaning
Alcohol Safety:
- Must be TABC certified.
- Will uphold all safe alcohol service guidelines.
- Ensures proper alcohol standards are followed including carding, selling and serving.
- Ensures proper checks ID are completed, using the ID checking guide if in doubt.
- Does not allow a Guest to order more than two drinks at a time.
- Looks for signs of intoxication and gets involved if it is necessary to cut a Guest off.
Food Safety:
- Must have a Professional Food Server Certification.
- Will uphold all Food Safety guidelines.
- Will uphold all safe alcohol service guidelines.
- Practices and enforce sanitary practices for food handling. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
- Enforce a meticulously clean restaurant and bar at all times.
- Responsible for delivering superior food preparation and service.
General:
- Ensure all Guests and Employees have a great experience at all times
- Put the Guest first. Genuinely listen to their requests and complaints to deliver a great experience. Make sure that any serious complaint is resolved with management before the Guest leaves the restaurant.
- Maintains a meticulous standard for cleanliness and presentation of all aspects of the restaurant and bar responsible for.
- Deliver a well put together restaurant image, including the maintenance of the restaurant cleanliness, Employee personal hygiene, proper uniform attire and other appearance standards
Culinary:
- Ensure every item delivered to the Guest is made to order and presented perfectly.
