Minneapolis-based jam band TWINE is bringing their annual holiday party to The Cabooze with a special celebration on Friday, December 26th!
TWINE will perform three unique sets, each featuring special guest artists who will bring their own flair to the stage. Joining the band throughout the evening are vocal powerhouse Mae Simpson, multi-instrumental looping wizard Heatbox, and the dynamic Mahon Brothers of Salty Dog, all adding fresh twists to TWINE’s signature sound.
Expect deep jams, improvisation, and unforgettable collaborations. Gather your friends, grab your tickets, and get ready for a festive musical celebration you won’t want to miss at The Cabooze!
Bios:
TWINE
A heavy hitting 5 piece band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The group is comprised of Will Effertz on electric guitar, Jon Miller-acoustic guitar, Brian (Snowman) Powers-saxophone, Scott Yonke-bass and John Hanson-drums. TWINE is known for their ability to listen to each other intently, as well as their genuine passion for "reading the room" which allows the energy of the crowd to persuade the bands direction during improvisational moments. TWINE infuses a blend of funk, folk, rock, blues, americana, and world inspired rhythms all combined into what is called the "Jam". The live performance consists of original music that paints soundwaves with imaginative lyrics, dynamic rhythms and symphonic melodies as well as covers that span generations!
Heatbox
Heatbox is a professional beatboxer, loop artist, singer, and voice actor. He makes a living making sounds with his mouth. He has performed in almost every state in the United States as well as in Canada, Mexico, The Netherlands, Scotland, China, Dubai, Qatar, and New Zealand. He has sold thousands of records.
Mae Simpson
Mae Simpson is a Minneapolis based singer songwriter known for her high energy live shows. Originally from South Carolina, Simpson is celebrated for her powerful, dynamic vocals and has released multiple EPs and her debut full length album, Chandelier & Bloom, in 2023. Praised for her “larger than life” voice and electrifying stage presence, Simpson has gained a reputation as a captivating live performer who has played at notable venues across the Midwest.
The Mahon Brothers (Saltydog)
The Mahon Brothers are musicians from Duluth, MN, consisting of brothers Jacob and Owen Mahon. They grew up playing music together since childhood and are known for their work in the band Saltydog. Their music has been described as midwestern psychedelic cowboys who use soulful and imaginative lyrics. These two have a deep connection that is transparent on stage and resonates with everyone in the room.
