The Twin Cities Rebels is thrilled to welcome KP Rutland and Bryn Anderson to the Twin Cities for our 2024 Anniversary weekend!
KP and Bryn are an exciting, dynamic West Coast Swing couple based in Houston, Texas. They travel internationally to teach, judge, perform and share their passion for West Coast Swing. Their dance style fuses classic West Coast Swing with Hip Hop styling, and is anchored in their backgrounds in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, International Latin, Hip-Hop, Swingout, Salsa and Zydeco.
Among their many accolades is a second-place finish in the Classic Swing division at the Open Swing Dance Championships in 2023.

“Connect & Communicate” All levels.
In our kick-off workshop, KP and Bryn will teach us how to develop a 'go-to' connection to communicate clearly with our partner.
8:15 PM – 9:15 PM
“Let’s Go for a Ride ” All levels.
Even the simplest dips and other specialty moves can be intimidating. This workshop will show us how to safely add these fun moves into our dance repertoire.

Schedule Saturday, April 27th:
Noon to 1:00 PM
“Mini Critique Session All levels.
A special session where you can get valuable feedback from Bryn and KP on your dance, or, just watch and learn!
1:15 PM - 2:15 PM
“Spin It” All levels.
This workshop is dedicated to improving our spins and turns. Bryn and KP will share techniques and drills, and then explore WCS patterns that utilize them
2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
“Express Yourself” All levels.
Do you want to express the music with more confidence? This workshop will help us connect to different parts of the songs we hear, and find ways to express them in our dance.
Saturday Evening, April 27th
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
“Spice it up ” All levels.
In this hour, we’ll learn to make our dance more dynamic by diving into the elements of variety and contrast
